Luso TV unveils 26-seater bus

The much awaited 26-seater bus up for grabs in the Bus Ipite Bonanza between Malawi’s soccer giants Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers sponsored by a local television station, Luso TV, was unveiled on Thursday in Lilongwe ahead of the first clash on Boxing Day in Blantyre.

Representatives of the two teams—Christopher Kananji vice-general secretary for Wanderers and Bullets second vice-chairperson Austin Kasito—spoke highly of their sides in the process commending Luso TV for fulfilling the promise.

Said Kananji: “Sponsors should live up to their words. This is great motivation to the players and I am very sure we are going to win. I urge supporters to come in their large numbers as this will be our third silverware this season. We cannot let our sponsors down as this bus was bought from Be Forward Limited.” But Kasito said it was wishful for Wanderers to dream about winning the bus.

“Our track record against Wanderers speaks volumes of our capabilities. We are going to prove to their sponsors that we are the best team in the country. We are winning the bus,” said Kasito.

Luso TV Station manager Dick Juma said apart from the bus, there will be other surprises.

“We are setting standards here as we strive to promote football. We expect competitive football and also a good treat for the fans. People doubted us but the bus is here,’ said Juma.  n
