Lusubilo completes South Korea tour

Karonga-based Lusubilo Band has completed a 10-day visit of South Korea where they performed at that country’s 2017 Pyeongchang Art Dream Camp.

The youthful band was invited by the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to participate in the event which brought together professionals and youths from four countries Columbia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malawi to share and showcase their artistry and creativity.

In an interview on Saturday, Lusubilo Band founder Professor Kim Chungja said the visit to South Korea was a success.

“The Art Dream Camp was very successful and Lusubilo Band has performed so beautifully at the final concert.

“People from Columbia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Korea were very impressed by Lusubilo Band,” she said.

This was the second time the band visited the country.  The first time was in 2014.

This year’s comes barely a few months after touring Germany where they had four performances.
