She said the study will be conducted by the University of Malawi’s Centre for Social Research (CSR) from November 9 to 20 2015.

“The Survey will also assist the Board to come up with strategies that will help us to deal with numerous challenges like lack of adequate and proper customer data, illegal connections and vandalism of water supply network, stuck meters and unattended visible leakages among others.

“The survey is aimed at leveraging interest and involving the customers in the decision making process, to ensure that customers are empowered to influence service delivery levels and activities,” read the statement in part.

According to the statement, the exercise will mainly involve administering questionnaires to selected individual customers in all customer categories which are domestic, commercial, institutional and industrial as well as those customers who use kiosks.

Meanwhile, LWB has urged its customers and members of the public to be cooperative with the personnel mandated to conduct the survey.
