Madalitso Kalikokha, known in music circles as mAdA, has released a new single titled Let’s Go.

The Blantyre-based artist said he is excited about the new project, which is enjoying airplay on various radio stations and was produced by Gracium Mokoena at Ituma Music Production Studio in Blantyre.

mAdA: I used this time to perfect my art

“People should expect inspiring messages in the song. I was out of limelight for some time and I used this time to perfect my art and mature as an artist,” says the soft-spoken musician.

The Kufuna Kokha hitmaker described the single as an embodiment of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“It carries spiritually uplifting messages that are appealing to all age groups. Of course, highlighting the hope emanating from the trust we have in Jesus,” he said.

The artist said the song reminds Christians and non-believers alike of the impending journey to heaven but encourages them to keep following Jesus despite facing numerous challenges on their way.

“As God’s children, we should not give up on anything, but continue praising the Lord to get a reward at the end of this life,” said the artist who works at Community of Sant’Egidio-Dream Programme.

An arts commentator, Sydney Mkwangwanya, said the gospel sector should expect a powerful track that will captivate many souls.

“He is a complete artist, the real quality that Malawi needs in the quest to define music as an art and not career for riches,” he said.

Before mAdA went into hibernation, he worked with Lulu, George Mkandawire, Faith Mussa and released his album Kufuna Kokha in 2014.

Some of the popular tracks in the album include Alipo, Yafika, Madzi a Moyo and Kandodo.

Meanwhile, the artist has announced that he is in the studio working on a new album to be released soon. n
