Nde’feyo Entertainment on Saturday afternoon introduced Mada Ngoleka one of their gospel artists under Nde’feyo Gospel, a sub label of Nde’feyo Entertainment, at Nanzikambe Arts Café in Naperi Township in Blantyre.

The artist interacted with the audience and the 18-year-old Nde’feyo starlet played 70 times 7, a song that talks about forgiveness modelled from the Bible scriptures of Matthews 18:21-22.

In a show of approval, the patrons completed the lyrics of the song at the chorus while Mada meticulously strummed her acoustic guitar.

But it was Chikondi cha Yesu which won the hearts of the patrons as they could not help but sing along.

Prior to MadaNgoleka’s performance, several acts came on stage as curtain raisers. Patience Namadingo’s brought the unexpected as he cracked jokes in a stand-up comedy routine.

Namadingo gave the audience cramps as a result of laughter after playing Kale Ndili Mwana which is a song that satirically talks about childhood.

Faith Musa brought a sense of seriousness to the show as he played his guitar which was attached to a guitar peddle that recorded backing vocals, drums and all guitars for him.

Faith performed Pamudzi Pano, a traditional song that has an acoustic traditional beat which, he confessed, he composed at his home village using a homemade guitar.

But it was his hit song Desperate that saw the fully packed Nanzikambe Arts Café get to their feet and sing along.

Musician of the moment Lawi, who came towards the end of the show soon after Mada performance, started with playing slow songs but he soon took the audience off their seats after he raised the tempo with the song Zitsulo which turned the amphitheatre into a dancefloor.

The audience was involved in the performance as they played Tabwerera Kutola Mtedza, a song that is modelled after children’s games.

Lawi proved patrons’ patience worthwhile as he performed his hit song AmaonaKuchedwawhich also marked the end of the show.

MadaNgoleka, said she has more to offer to the music industry and she is planning of having a band and a choir to back her performances.
