Malawi Boxing Association general secretary Arthur Nanthuru has described Isaac Chilemba’s World Boxing Council light heavyweight fight against Anthony Bellew this Saturday as ‘make or break’ for the Malawian.

“But, as you know, he’s incapable of disappointing. I’m sure he will make us proud once more as he gets closer and closer to a title shot,” said Nanthuru on Tuesday.

Chilemba, nicknamed Golden Boy, can go for a title fight if he beats Bellew (30) at the Liverpool Echo Arena in the 12-rounder.

A party has since been lined up on the day of the fight in Blantyre, according to the South Africa based pugilist’s cousin George Chilemba.

“He is our own and we will be partying after his win. I am talking about winning because there is no way this guy [Bellew] from England can defeat Isaac. We will gather as a family to watch the fight. We have produced T-shirts for the occasion,” George said on Tuesday.

Chilemba’s fight is being promoted by Matchroom Sport in association with DiBella Entertainment. SKY Sport will broadcast the bout in the United Kingdom while Wealth TV will broadcast it in America. The winner will eventually challenge WBC champion Chad Dawson.
