Her first gig is at Comesa Hall in Malawi’s commercial city, Blantyre, where she will share the stage with Dan Lu and Edgar ndi Davis among other musicians. In Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe, at the Crossroads Hotel, she will come face to face with Lulu and Black Missionaries.

In a message posted on Facebook, Zahara, who first came to Malawi in September last year under the auspices of Standard Bank, confirms her Malawi concerts.

“Hello Malawi, this is Zahara and I will be coming to rock your stage from the 16th and 17th of February, so you don’t wanna miss,” she jovially says.

She adds: “If you have never seen me before, come see what I will be doing in Malawi. This goes Zahara, can you see this? [Pointing at people, supposedly to be part of her band]. And we do this all the time…so Malawi, be there”.

Zahara, alongside her 11 member band, arrives in Malawi thorough Chileka International Airport on the 16th, aboard South African Airways.

Tickets are being sold at Steers in Blantyre and Alexanders Pub in Lilongwe for K10 000 in advance and K12 000 at the door. She travels by road to Lilongwe for her last gig, before departing for South Africa on Monday.
