Malawi politicians in unity of purpose

Malawi President Joyce Banda on Wednesday met leaders of various political parties at the New State House in Lilongwe. The President briefed the leaders on the Lake Malawi border dispute with Tanzania.

The President said she plans to meet her Tanzanian counterpart Jakaya Kikwete during the Sadc meeting in Mozambique.

Those who met Banda included John Tembo representing MCP, Wakuda Kamanga (DPP), Dr. George Mtafu and Friday Jumbe (UDF), Kamlepo Kalua (MDP), Gwanda Chakuamba (NRP), Mark Katsonga Phiri (PPM), Kamuzu Chibambo (Petra), George Nnensa (Mafunde) and Paul Maulidi (PP).
