Malawi is also expected to promote tourism through darts

“We, therefore, take great pride in informing the people of Malawi about our hosting of this annual tournament and we plead with them to offer the Malawi team moral, financial and material support,” reads the statement in part.

Yesterday, Zangazanga said in an interview that both men’s and ladies’ teams will compete in the tournament.

“Through the inclusion of ladies in the tournament, we demonstrate the dedication of the Warm Heart of Africa to promoting women,” he said.

Through the hosting and the participation in the competition, Malawi is also expected to promote tourism and expose the numerous benefits of darts among players, including, mathematical capabilities, concentration and development of leadership capabilities.

The Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) and the Malawi Olympic Committee (MOC) have offered financial support to the hosting of the tournament. n
