In a bid to promote Malawi tourism, both locally and internationally, ECB Media is working on programmes depicting some of the tourist attraction sites to be beamed on Malawi television channels.

Dubbed Tikaone Malawi, the 30-minute programme is already being beamed on Luso TV and will soon be on MBC TV.

“The programme wants to ensure that the country’s beauty is fully marketed locally as well as internationally. It highlights and showcases as well as unearth beauty and history of the country. We are currently starting with the hospitality industry within Lilongwe before we start going to other places as well as focusing on other aspects of Malawi tourism thus, art, wildlife and culture,” said ECB Media director Evance Bwanaope.

So far, about 10 programmes are being beamed on Luso TV.

“We have so far shot programmes for places such as Mabuya Camp, Four Seasons, Lilongwe Wildlife Centre, Discount Lodge and Crown Lodge, among other places. We are still recording more programmes,” he said.
