Malawians have been asked to put their trust in God and look up to him for solutions for the country to move out of the challenges it is facing.
Bishop Rev. Brighton Vitta Malasa, Chairperson of the National Service of Worship for the Golden Jubilee Independence day said in Lilongwe on Sunday that Malawi as a country has within 50 years of independence faced numerous challenges.
He cited shortage of economic empowerment, less infrastructural development and unimproved healthy system as some challenges the country continued to face.
He however said to have improvements in all sectors of the country; it required prayers and intervention from God.
“We are happy that at fifty we are still united, peace continues to flourish and we have had several democratic system of government. But, despite all these positive results, our people are still living in absolute poverty, we really as a country need to pray to God to help us with our needs,” Malasa explained.
