Malawi’s Queens have lost their second friendly match to world number four England, 24-46 in Auckland, New Zealand.

In the first friendly Tuesday morning, they lost 43-37 to Australia who are number one in the world.

According to Ministry of Sports, unlike the first game, the Queens struggled a lot against England.

“Communication from leader of delegation in Auckland indicates that the second game was much tougher than the one on Tuesday,” said director of sports in the ministry, Jameson Ndalama.

He said the comforting thing was that the Queens are learning a lot from these friendly games.

“By the time the tournament begins on Friday, the coach will make necessary adjustments to see to it that the team progresses,” said Ndalama.

The Queens are using the games to prepare for the Fast5 World Netball Series scheduled to begin Friday.
