Fiado, who entered the competition with a small and medium entrepreneurs (SME) accounting software he designed, has since been invited to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) to be held in Nairobi, Kenya in July. United States of America President Barack Obama is scheduled to grace the event in Kenya.

Fiado said during the summit, he will have eight minutes to make a presentation and defend his software.

He said: “I shall have a presentation of six minutes and for two minutes the summit participants, including President Obama, shall have an opportunity to ask me questions about the software.”

Fiado has called his software EasyBooks and he says it is easy to use and has two unique modules which cannot be found in any accounting package worldwide.

According to US Embassy website, Fiado will be joined by three local youthful entrepreneurs who have been invited to attend the Nairobi summit. The three are Lala Investments executive officer Mike Chilewe Jnr, Lombola Lombola of Bamboo Express and executive director of Jubilee Enterprises, Karen Chimkwita.

Information on the website indicates that the summit is an annual gathering that allows social entrepreneurs, businesspeople, venture capitalists and foundations, to participate in an intense two-day conference to network, learn from each other and identify ways to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

This is a White House initiative that partners with a different host country each year to showcase the dynamism of the local environment and hopefully strengthen entrepreneurial infrastructure.
