Watch today’s game with a peace of mind as the 60-member Mali national football team delegation which arrived at Chileka International Airport on Thursday night, was cleared of the deadly Ebola after thorough screening.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) official Daud Ntanthiko who welcomed the delegation, said after the screening by health authorities that lasted about an hour, none showed symptoms or signs of the disease.

“They have brought their own food and water,” said Ntanthiko.

There were fears about the possibility of the disease outbreak in the country after Mali reported a second case of Ebola death a few days ago.

BBC reported that a Malian nurse died of the deadly disease, the second confirmed death in the West African country.

At the weekend, Ministry of Health spokesperson Henry Chimbali said despite there being no restrictions in place against Mali, the delegation would still be subjected to screening on arrival.
