Mama Mtendere Choir launches DVD

Ndirande Churches of Christ in Malawi’s Mama Mtendere Women’s Choir on Sunday launched ‘Dziko la Chilendo’ DVD at its church.

The whole ceremony fetched over K200 000 (about $1 197) of which would be used to assist the activities of the church mainly on the feeding programme for orphans.

Jerina Chawola, one of the members of the choir in an interview said the group started by Mayi Gulaimfa now has 32 members and pledged to continue producing more DVDs.

“Funds raised from this launch will be given to the church for youth programmes and feeding orphans,” said Chawola.
