Nkhata Bay Police Station spokesperson Ignatius Esau yesterday identified the man as Paulosi Nkhoma of Wachaza Village in Traditional Authority (T/A) Malanda in the district. He was working in South Africa.

According to Esau, Nkhoma called his wife, Doreen Banda, on August 1 2016 to inform her that he was returning to Malawi and that he had boarded an Intercape bus.

He said since that time, Nkhoma has not been to Nkhata Bay and there is no communication on his whereabouts.

Said Esau: “There hasn’t been any type of communication from Nkhoma which prompted Banda to report the matter to Nkhata Bay Police Station.

“We are calling upon people who might have seen or have information that will lead us to find him to call the following phone numbers 0999134060, 0995432237, 0993874100.

“The informants can also report to any nearest police station. The family is worried and helping with information about his whereabouts will help the relations to be at peace,” said Esau.
