Man suspected of defiling stepdaughter

Police in Ntchisi have arrested Zidyenji Kambale Nkhoma (35) for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old stepdaughter.

Ntchisi Police spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha Kambale said in an interview on Tuesday that the incident happened last Wednesday.

He said Nkhoma allegedly pounced on the girl at around 5pm last Wednesday as she was coming from the toilet in Mtongo Village, Traditional Authority Nthondo in the district.

M’bumpha said the girl reported the ordeal to her mother who alerted community policing members.

The suspect comes from Ng’ombe Village, T/A Chilooko in the district.
