The Malawi National Examinations Board (Maneb) has set 12 to 23 December 2016 as dates for late registration period for the 2017 Primary School Leaving Certificate (PSLCE) and Malawi School
Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations.

In a press statement signed by acting executive director Jack Chalimba, Maneb says in addition to paying normal registration and Identity cards production fees, every late registrant will be required to pay a penalty fee of K2 000.

“This late registration period runs from 12th to 23rd December, 2016; and MANEB should receive all submissions by 30th December, 2016,” reads the statement in part.

Maneb has since appealed to heads of examination centres which still have space to accommodate late registrants and process their registration accordingly.

“Please note that all late registration submissions, except for ID forms, should go through respective District Education Manager (DEM) offices which shall, in turn, submit the same to Maneb. No candidate
or school should bring their data directly to Maneb,” it reads; adding that the board only registers candidates through approved examination centres.
