Manyozo, Jere in Botswana for trials

Two Mighty Wanderers key midfielders Alfred Manyozo Jnr and Innocent Jere are reported to be in Botswana’s capital Gaborone for trials with Premier League side Township Rollers.

The Nomads general secretary David Kanyenda confirmed the players’ departure, saying they will be on trials for a fortnight.

“It is true, they have travelled to Botswana with our blessings. We felt it would be unfair to prevent them from trying their luck. These guys have been loyal servants of the club and we wish them all the best,” said Kanyenda.

Last year, Jere and Bernard Kalilani were also invited by the Nomads former coach Rahman Gumbo for trials at the same club.

Midfielder Lawrence ‘Tico-Tico’ Majawa is the other Malawian player at Township Rollers.
