It is time to celebrate the marriage institution in the country when Marriage Encounter Malawi, a Catholic Church family movement, will be hosting the international Pan-African conference from 15 to 21 April, 2013.

The group’s facility couple for the South Charles and Faith Kamoto said the conference, to be held in Lilongwe, will pool 43 delegates comprising 16 couples and 11 priests from 12 countries on the continent.

They said delegates to the conference will come from Cameroon, DRC, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the hosts Malawi.

Marriage Encounter is a group of Christian couples who choose to live by the values of love, according to Kamoto.

During the lead-up to high profile event, the group has started making advance preparations for the occasion.

“The preparations include fund-raising activities which are being conducted by all members in the three regions in Malawi as well as at the national level. Various committees have been put in place to ensure that the country hosts a very memorable event.

“Apart from attending the conference, delegates will be taken to various tourist attraction centres as well as interact with Marriage Encounter Couples in Malawi,” said Kamoto.
