Chilomoni-based Namisonga Boxing Stable will next Sunday organise a boxing contest involving three Masamba brothers at one venue.
Set for Motel Paradise in Chirimba Township of Blantyre, the eldest sibling, John, faces Isaac Sumali of Zomba in the opening fight.
The youngest sibling, Limbani, who is unbeaten with four straight knockouts, squares up against Marshal Ali whereas Wilson, who just graduated from the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) training, will exchange blows with Tanzanian Furaha Mundengenya.
The other bout of the day will be between Brighton Mdoka and Mussa Mkwanda.
Namisonga managing director Francis Chibisa said they have organised the bouts to honour the Masambas’ boxing legacy in Chilomoni.
“We are a new stable based in Chilomoni where the Masambas come from. From their father ‘School Boy Shasha’ to John, Wilson and now Limbani, the guys have done a good job in promoting boxing in Chilomoni, so we would like to honour them. But these are top fights as they are fighting top boxers, so we expect an exciting afternoon,†said Chibisa.
