Masses grace Steve Muliya’s ‘Zisomo’ launch at Robin’s Park

It was an amazing grace as masses patronised the Zisomo album launch by Steve Muliya at Robin’s Park in Blantyre on Sunday.

The singer made a dramatic entrance, donning a silver tuxedo, shinny shoes and dark sunglasses with a beni escort led by Mr Ichocho, who donned a black suit as they made way though the tightly packed audience to the stage.

And to match the hype, artist gave a scintillating performance of Mulinane Cholinga, which was supported by his Wazisomo Dance Crew, who gave a blend of beni and pantsula while making an act similar to guard of honour.

Muliya also mesmerised the audience with a performance of Mwandimenyela Nkhondo, Chaka Chobwenzeretsa and Ndizotheka, which features Allan Chirwa.

Supporting the performance was Ethel kamwendo-Banda, who won the hearts of the patrons with her performance of Pamene Waimapo and Okondana.

Allan Chirwa, who is set for album launch next week, took the patrons to the heart of worship with his worship medleys. Other artists who supported the show are Lloyd Phiri, Khama Khwiliro and Princess Chitsulo. n
