Max Bullets dislodge Cobbe

Max Bullets FC on Saturday made their intention clear for the Nsejjere Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) Premier League title chase when they beat Evirom FC 1-0 in a closely fought encounter.

Innocent Hadji’s goal was enough to see his team win the match  played at Sedi ground.

This means Max Bullets have leap-frogged Cobbe Barracks to lead the pack with 38 points from 18 games played so far. Cobbe were on bye.

Cobbe are now second with 36 points from the same number of games. For the past two seasons, Max Bullets have been finishing among the top three teams in the league.

Owner of the team Max Kapanda, hinted in Zomba during the opening match of the 2015 season against Cobbe that his club will fight for Super League promotion.

He said his team managed to assemble a good crop of players capable to register good results in the league.

In other games, ZombaUnited were held by Blantyre United to a goalless draw. The match between BNC Produsak and Ndirande Icons also ended in a goalless draw.

However, it was not a rosy trip for Be Forward Wanderers Reserves as they were clobbered 4-1 by Mangochi Police.

Polytechnic stunned Sparc Hawks with a 1-0 victory whereas White Eagles were beaten by the same margin by visiting Changalume Barracks.
