As the race for championship in the 2014 Southern Region Football League (SRFL) continues, Blantyre-based side Max Bullets have strengthened their coaching panel by roping in 2014 TNM Super League relegated Blantyre United head coach Leo Mpulula.

Max Bullets are itching to close in on league leaders Surestream FC.

Despite coaching Max Bullets, Mpulula is still head coach Super League relegated side Blantyre United.

“Of course, there are a lot of speculations, but the truth is that I am coaching Max Bullets on a part time basis. The owner of the team is my friend and he approached me to assist the team here and there, I am just assisting them, not on full time basis. I have not signed any contract with them, and with the end of the Super League I have more time to service both Blantyre United and Max Bullets,” said Mpulula.

He added that at the moment he has no plans to move out of Blantyre United.

“My plans are to stay with Blantyre United, it won’t be nice to quit the team which I have coached for four years.

“Currently, my plans are that I should polish the team so that it should go back into the league. I will assemble young players to have a strong side,” said Mpulula.
