MBC to beam Cosafa Cup

Malawians will be able to watch the Flames’ 2015 Cosafa Cup matches live on TV courtesy of national broadcaster—Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC)—which has secured rights to beam the regional showcase to be held in South Africa.

MBC’s director of commercial services Levi Nkunika yesterday confirmed that MBCtv will beam all the 22 matches live.zambia

“We have bought the rights from Cosafa agents to enable Malawians to follow their team in the tournament.

“As a national broadcaster, our mandate is to educate, inform and entertain and we would like to offer entertainment to soccer-loving Malawians,” said Nkunika.

The MBC commercial head also said they will engage well-versed analysts for indepth coverage of the matches.

The 15th edition of the Cosafa Cup will be played from May 14 to 31 in South Africa and the Flames, who have been seeded, will meet Mozambique’s Mambas in the quarter-finals on May 24.
