Mbolembole confirmed that he was yet to report for duties barely a month before the team plays Botswana in a friendly match on December 10 this year.

Mbolembole was thus unable to comment on the international friendly.

He said: “It will be difficult for me to comment on the friendly match against Botswana because I am yet to receive my offer letter on my appointment as the team’s coach. It will be good to comment once I receive the offer letter.”

National Women Football Association (NWFA) chairperson Severia Chalira said FAM secretariat was in a better position to comment on the delays.

FAM general secretary Suzgo Nyirenda said the coach will get the letter soon.

“The good thing is that, I met him and we discussed a number of issues pertaining to the team’s preparations for the friendly game we have against Botswana,” he said. n
