He, however, expressed sadness that he will miss the Flames action.

“However, I am wishing the team all the success,” said Mhone who plays for Lilongwe-based Blue Eagles.

Mhone will also not feature in his team’s fixture against Mafco at the weekend.

“We will still name him in our squad and depending on fitness he will be up for selection. At this stage in the tournament, it is important to have all your good players,” said Eagles coach Deklerk Msakakuona.

Eagles will also be without John Banda and Phillip Masiye who are with the Flames.

Meanwhile, Silver Strikers will be exempted from Super League action at the weekend as they have contributed five players to the national team.

The Bankers have contributed Frank Banda, Young Chimodzi Jnr , Ndaziona Chatsalira, Rodrick Gonani and Charles Swini.
