For the first time, Mibawa Band 1 and 2 will come face to face with reggae kings Black Missionaries in end of year gigs that the Blantyre-based Mibawa Café has organised.
The two will perform in shows scheduled for October and November in Lilongwe and Blantyre respectively.
Dubbed the Blacks-Mibawa weekend, Mibawa 1 and 2 will start the gigs in Lilongwe with a dinner and dance at the Presidents Hotel on Friday, October 25.
“The following day we will be at Chameleon before wrapping up the Lilongwe tour on October 27 with a family gig at Civo Stadium, where for the first time, Ma Blacks will join. We will be at Robins Park in Blantyre in December,” said Mibawa Café owner, John Nthakomwa.
He said this is a response to questions that their fans have been asking on when Mibawa Band will hold shows with Ma Blacks.
