Minister condemns Speaker’s festival conduct
Minister of Sports and Culture Grace Chiumia has condemned Speaker of National Assembly Richard Msowoya’s conduct at this year’s Gonapamuhanya Cultural Festival, alleging he turned the event into a political space.
The Tumbuka held Gonapamuhanya cultural festival last week to celebrate their culture.
Various politicians, including the minister, Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president Lazarus Chakwera, former vice-president Khumbo Kachali and Msowoya attended the event.
Speaking in an interview last week, Chiumia accused the Speaker of turning the event into a political platform, hence, her reaction to enlighten the gathering.
Reacting to Chiumia’s claims, Msowoya said his message was directed at chiefs. He said being a cultural event, he thought it wise to advise chiefs to be diligent and polite to their subjects. He said he never targeted an individual and it was strange Chiumia responded.
Paramount chief Chikulamayembe said it is unfortunate that the two politicians clashed at the cultural event.
This bitch has a nasty mouth am telling you. She looks like a man anyway, perhaps that’s why she is so arrogant.
Looks like you have a dirty mouth yourself. Is it that hard to have civilized comments.
