Manyengo: God is in Malawi too

Open Heavens Ministry will this weekend embark on four regional conferences aimed at calling on Malawians to respond to the word of God.

In an interview recently, Apostle Joseph Manyengo said the first conference will take place at Lilongwe Teachers’ Training College (TTC) from October 18 to 19.

He said the other three will take place in Blantyre, Zomba and Mzuzu between November and January next year.

Manyengo said several gospel artists including Mlaka Maliro, Kondwani Chirwa and Thokozani Bandawe are expected to spice up the events.

“We are holding the conferences under the theme: There is God in Malawi,” said Manyengo.

He said as a poor nation, Malawi should not just depend on developed countries for help, but ask God to address the country’s challenges.

“God can heal us right here in Malawi. We don’t need to go to other countries for healing,” said Manyengo.

He said the ministry expects God to meet people at their point of need during the four regional conferences.

Manyengo said the ministry started at the University of Malawi’s Chancellor College about five years ago with the goal of contributing towards generating a God fearing nation.
