She is expected to leave on November 12 and return on December 16.

The contest seeks to select World Miss University Peace Service corps.

The concept was established in 1986 to commemorate the United Nations (UN) designated Year of Peace under the International Association of University Presidents, a UN-affiliated non-governmental.

“The invitation is thrilling and absolutely exciting. It is an opportunity for me to connect with university-going models from around the world. More importantly, I will represent the country,” said Manduwi, a former Miss University of Malawi.

The pageantry, which is also a celebration of beauty and intellect, strives to spread love and peace across the world by appointing a public service delegation of outstanding female university students from around the world.

Manduwi, a 21-year-old economics and demography studies major at Chancellor College, is among the over 110 representatives.

“This is a great opportunity for my career. I get to meet a lot of people and make great connections. Hopefully, this will be a great start to the rest of my career,” she said.
