This is the first best performance by the queen in three competitions. She has not done well in talent and top model catwalk shows, according to postings on Miss World website released on Monday.

She is expected to be in action late this week in another phase of the competition to identify top three contestants in dancing.

Speaking when reacting to the performance of the queen, artistic director of Artistic Agency, Vitu Kamanga said his office is optimistic that the girl would do better in other categories.

“Susan has done well in dancing and we are proud of that. She has not done well in talent and Top Model Catwalk competitions, but there are four other categories remaining and we are optimistic that she will do better in at least two other categories. Sports is one of them,” said Kamanga, adding that the queen could have done well in all the three categories but she did not have enough time to prepare because it was not a guarantee that she would go due to lack of funds.

He has, however, assured Malawians that the queen is keeping her fingers crossed to do better in other categories. He says, the queen still has all the chances to win the title and it is too early to start ruling her out.

Meanwhile, poor preparations have also left the queen without a present to give this weekend. All contenders are supposed to present a national gift. Again, the queen will not present a documentary of her charity activities at the show as she has not prepared one.

According to Kamanga, she will instead present pictures of her charity activities.

On the gift, Kamanga says his office is trying to knock on the doors of both government and the corporate world to help them buy and send it through courier.

This year’s Miss World is taking place in Ordos, Mongolia China and the finals will be held on August 18, 2012.
