Mjura weds

Malawi’s Airtel Trace Music star winner Sam Mjura Mkandawire is officially off the shelf.

He, on Saturday, married his long time sweetheart Tiyamike Chakhaza at Area 14 Assemblies of God.

A hearty and colourful reception, followed in the evening at Kulemeka’s Gardens in Area 10.

The beautiful reception which saw invited guests being treated to a three course meal, turned into a music celebration as different artists performed.

R’n’B artist Lulu performed a special song titled Mjura upon arrival of the newly weds.

Lawi was next on the performance list and did The Whistling Song and Amaona Kuchedwa before Lulu came back.

Backed by  Ernest Ikwanga, Lemekeza Phiri both of Malingaka and saxophonist Dan Sibale, Lulu did Pemphero Langa and Ndidzalera.
