Model Sisters finish first round with a victory

Model Sisters on Sunday finished the first round of the Lilongwe and Districts Netball League (LDNL) with a victory.

Model Sisters stunned Airborne Sisters 55-10 at Lilongwe Community Centre Court.

They have finished the round on position four with 20 points.

Models Sisters have a record of ten wins and three loses. They lost to the top three teams, defending champions Blue Eagles, Civonets and Mafco Sisters.

The youthful team put a spirited performance to surmount all the quarters. They never trailed even at one point during the proceedings.

In form Emily Douglas and Sara Tawumbe converted most of the chances.

Goalkeeper Angela Majawa and defender Emily Kapichi stood firm at the back such that they denied the visitors a chance to score in the last quarter.
