More shows for Senzo

South African musician, Senzo has extended his tour of Malawi to include five new venues.

According to the tour’s promoter Thomson Madulira, the development has come due to public demand.

“He will wrap up the tour on July 11 as we have added Zomba, Mulanje, Nsanje, Nkhotakota, Mwanza plus a return to Lilongwe and Blantyre,” he said.

In a separate interview, Senzo Mthethwa said the new venues illustrate the love that Malawians have for him.

“The warm welcome I’ve received from all shows I’ve performed has been so inspiring. We have no choice but to respond to their call for without their support, Senzo is nothing.

“So, it is for this reason that I am bound to jump as high as they want me to because their support is my strength. The greatness of the king lies within the nation he rules over, without them, he is nothing and that’s the way it is with me,” he said.

The artist also said his coming to Malawi was to prove that he is very much alive.

“I am showering Jah with praises for linking me up with the promoter who made it possible for me to revisit this country to dismiss ugly rumours that Senzo is dead. I am so glad that I’ve finally managed to be out of the rumour grave,” he explained.

The South African also paid tribute to ailing legends Paul and Lucius Banda and wished them well.

“I’m saddened by the absence of the Banda brothers in my tour due to the unfortunate ill health conditions they are currently having. l humbly ask and pray for Jah’s mercy to visit Balaka and heal all my beloved three Banda brothers.

“I also ask Malawians and all Africans wherever they are to pray for them and assist them in their needs for they are our living legends and it’s our duty to take a good care of them,” he said.
