According to Born Afrikan Productions, the promoters of the concert, tickets will be available in Lilongwe at Sunbird Capital, Papaya Restaurant at Lilongwe City Mall (Game Complex), Maula Service Station, Mbowe Service Station, Steers, Kips and Multichoice Malawi offices.

The early bird tickets will be going at K8 000 and fans who will not purchase the tickets in advance will pay K12 000 at the gate.

The Jamaican royal family of reggae is scheduled to be on stage at 4pm as there are no flood lights at the Civo Stadium.

Gates are expected to open at 10am and among the local artists to curtain raise for the visiting band are the Black Missionaries, Tay Grin, Nepman, Blasto, Junior C and Paramount.

The show will be hosted by ragamuffin artist and television celebrity Anne Matumbi of Times TV.

Morgan Heritage is on ‘The Strictly Roots Africa Tour’ which, apart from Malawi, will also take them to Kenya, Senegal and Ivory Coast.

They return to Malawi after their tour last December when they left the audience upset, having performed using prerecorded instruments instead of a live band as the fans had anticipated.

The band later apologised to fans who took to social media to express their frustrations. The group told the local media that there was communication breakdown with their promoter who did not inform the fans in advance that they would use back tracks.

This time, Morgan Heritage will be coming with the whole movement of 17 people.
