He was driving a Toyota Sienta registration MZ 1112 when he hit a pedestrian, Phaniso Hunga, 45, of Stonya Vinkhumbo, Village, Paramount Chief M’mbelwa in Mzimba.

“The pedestrian was crossing the road from right to left when he was hit by the car which was coming from Mzimba Trading Centre heading to Chimkusa,” said Botha.
