Moyale FC will finish the rest of the season without head coach Nicholas Mhango and four players who are attending a special course at Mafco in readiness for peacekeeping deployment in Cote d’Ivoire.

Tomorrow, they face Kabwafu without Misheck Zgambo, Lovemore Mitengo, Ernest Zimba and Dave Chisambi who are part of the training at Mafco.

The club’s legal adviser, Ronald Kuchipanga, who is also acting for the general secretary confirmed the development in an interview on Thursday.

“What you have to know is that these players and officials are soldiers first before they are players. It has pleased MDF to deploy them on peacekeeping mission,” said Kuchipanga.

He said they have already found temporary replacements for the travelling coach and players.

“I can assure you the team will perform well even without these players,” he said.

Kamuzu Barracks will also miss some players who are on the same programme, according to coach Kenwood Nkhoma.

Nkhoma, however, said he is yet to be notified about his players included on the peacekeeping mission.

“It is my seniors who are handling that. Once I get the names I will get back to you, but right now I can confirm that indeed some of our players will be travelling to Ivory Coast,” said Nkhoma.

KB, who beat Civo 3-2 last week, are playing Escom United tomorrow (Saturday) at Civo Stadium.

Mafco coach Sterio Gondwe, said he is lucky that the course is taking place where his team is based, so he has easy access to his players.
