Mpingwe manager pleads for cricketers’ discipline

Abdul Wahab Jagot, newly appointed manager for Mpingwe Sports Club (MSC), has called for discipline among players in the club’s nine cricket teams both on and off the field.

Wahab, who has replaced Makbul Latif, made the statement at the annual Noor and Beda Cricket Tournaments on Sunday.

One of the MSC teams successfully defended the Noor Trophy with a 166-136 runs victory, but lost the Beda title with a 144-164 runs.

“I accepted the position due to my passion for this exciting sport and I hope my cricket knowledge will be very beneficial to the club.

“However, in every game, there is a winner and a losser,” he said.

Apart from appointing Jagot as the manager, the club’s executive also signed elected Khalil Badat and Irfan Wadia as captains for the teams that took part in last weekend’s Noor and Beda Cricket Tournaments.
