MSC Silver will get into their 20-Overs Inter-Club Cricket League encounter against MSC Green at Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) in Blantyre on Sunday with a sponsorship boost from Anchor Industries.

According to the team’s captain Saeed Limdawala, the outfit, which suffered 101-160 runs defeat by Purple last week, will do anything possible to earn a victory to honour their newly found sponsors.

The team has since changed its name to Anchor Silver as they await the official disclosure of the actual sponsorship package in the next few days.

“We are fired up by the Anchor Industries support and we cannot wait to start registering sweet results under the name of our new sponsors, starting with our game this Sunday,” Limdawala said.

Recently, the team won the Bhaiji Cricket Tournament, which was organised as a tribute to the late Yakub Bhaiji, who passed away last month after spending almost two decades as a domestic cricket umpire.

The Anchor Silver versus Green match will be preceded by an encounter between White and Purple. At Mpingwe Sports Club (MSC), Grey will take on Gold Fattani before paving the way for a tussle between Orange and MSC Black.
