Chiukepo Msowoya on Monday said he felt relieved to score a late winner in his debut for Platinum Stars on Sunday in a Premier Soccer League (PSL) match against Black Leopards.

Another Malawian international Robert ‘Baggio’ Ng’ambi added extra spice to the occasion when he netted a brace for Platinum as they beat Black Leopards 3-2.

After being reduced to a sideshow in competitive club football for almost a year, Chiukepo stood up to be counted when he stepped off the bench to score the winner two minutes before time.

“I was very, very relieved to score in my first appearance for Platinum,” said Chiukepo.

According to KickOff.com, Ng’ambi scored a brace in the opening 11 minutes of the match, before Mongezi Bobe also found the back of the net twice to level matters for the home side.

Injured Harry Nyirenda did not feature for Leopards nor did midfielder Dave Banda.

There was also no action for Flames duo—Peter ‘Mjojo’ Mponda and Tawonga Chimodzi as Santos went down 2-0 to Bloemfontein Celtic. Limbikani Mzava did not play as Celtic is yet to register him.
