Flames caretaker assistant coach Ernest Mtawali has clarified that his commitment is to the Flames.
Mtawali was reacting to reports that South African club Mamelodi Sundowns questioned his commitment to the club after being drafted into the Flames coaching panel.
“My commitment is purely to the national soccer team and there is no truth what-so-ever to the speculations.
“I want to make it categorically clear that my focus now is on my interim role as Flames assistant coach. My focus is, therefore, towards my current role,” said Mtawali on Tuesday.
The former Flames midfield stalwart is scheduled to undergo an advanced A Licence coaching course in Germany alongside fellow Flames assistant coach Patrick Mabedi later this month.
