After a three-year absence from the golf scene, Malawi Telecommunications Limited (MTL) on Saturday returns with a highly anticipated invitational tournament at Blantyre Sports Club (BSC).
MTL head of marketing and customer care Chimwemwe Khonje said the tournament has been organised to interact with their customers—both existing and prospective—in a relaxed social setting.
“Our return to sponsorship of golf events is very much in line with our core values as an organisation, at the heart of which lies our focus on our customers and a quest to continuously improve in our service delivery.
“The golf tournaments are just one of the ways that we intend to engage our clients,” said Khonje.
He said following the restructuring of the company through 2014, MTL believe they are now better positioned not only to serve their customers and the general public more efficiently, but also offer products and services that resonate with their ICT needs, be it at individual or business levels.
“We are very much looking forward to hosting our customers from Blantyre and hearing their views on how they perceive our services and what they expect from their leading supplier of telephony, Internet and data services.”
The tournament will be spiced up with exciting prizes and other surprises.
A similar invitational is scheduled to take place in Lilongwe on November 21. n
