Malawi Government has reappointed Chikumbutso Mtumodzi as director of information in the Ministry of Information and Civic Education with effect from last week.
Mtumodzi confirmed the new development with Nation Online today.
“It’s true I have been appointed to take that post at information. I was told last week,” he said.
Mtumodzi served as director of information in between 2009 and 2010. He also worked as State House Press Officer under the Bingu wa Mutharika regime.
Mtumodzi was currently serving as deputy principal secretary in the ministry of disabilities.
