Listen to this article

Organisers of the Mulhako Wa Alhomwe annual celebrations have said this year’s event scheduled to take place on Sunday at Chonde in Mulanje will cost K60 million. This is K10 million up from last year’s event and organisers have attributed the rise to a comprehensive programme, which for the first time has accommodated other tribes.  Speaking in an interview yesterday, vice-chairperson for the event’s publicity committee, Villant Jana, said the fundraising drive they held in Blantyre recently helped to top up their purse.—ALBERT SHARRA, Staff Reporter
