MultiChoice Malawi has asked Malawians to support our representatives and our neighbours such as Zambia and Zimbabwe by voting for their representatives when they are up for eviction.

MultiChoice Malawi marketing manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda made the plea to hundrends that gatheredon Sunday night at the first live eviction show held in at the Steers Gardens in Blantyre.

Nyirenda said it was very important that Malawians vote for Malawian nominees as well as those from Zambia and Zimbabwe as they have been able to vote and save Natasha the four times she has been up for eviction.

“We must support our neighbours as they have supported us. You should note that our friends from East Africa have formed a block where they are saving each other when nominated. We must do the same,” he said.

Natasha was saved on Sunday by one vote from Malawi and a tie-breaker vote was applied to save her.

Nyirenda explained that the tie-breaker vote is usually counted by looking at the votes received by the nominees from other countries.

“Usually when Natasha gets one vote it doesn’t mean people from other countries didn’t vote for her, they voted for her only that they voted more for someone else,” he said.

The highly patronised eviction show was spiced by an energetic performance by urban artist Piksy, who showed his prowess in live performances.
