Muluzi’s mother dies, burial on Monday

Mother to former president Bakili Muluzi has died. She was 92.

According to local radio stations quoting a family statement, Muluzi died at her home village in Kapoloma, Machinga, in the early hours of on Saturday.

The statement said burial was scheduled for Monday, Mothers’ Day.

Muluzi is currently in South Africa for a medical check-up.
