Another moment of variety in arts presents itself tomorrow (Friday) in Blantyre at the Nanzikambe Arts Café with Dikamawoko Arts bringing live performances of poetry, music and comedy.

The show is scheduled to start at 6pm and the artist to watch out is Czech Republic citizen Tereza Mirovicova, who has several Chichewa compositions.

Despite having an East European accent, Tereza holds audiences spellbound in the way she weaves romantic messages in perfect Chichewa that come in a sultry voice supported by the sweet melodies of her acoustic guitar. More attractive are her incomparable stage antics.

Her compilations are close to an album and some of the hits to take the audience into the Valentine’s month are Chikondi, Titsate Mwambo, Bwera apa, Simuzasiyabe, Chimphongo and Ku Ghetto.

She will be joined in performance by Dikamawoko’s Muhanya who will unveil new songs and up-and-coming musician Lady Pace.

In poetry, seasoned poet Nyamalikiti Nthiwatiwa will headline the performances that will see another budding poet Yankho Seunda giving out his new compositions.

Director of Dikamawoko Arts, Tawonga Taddja Nkhonjera, will perform a comedy piece, The Silent Piece.

Speaking in an interview on Wednesday, Nkhonjera said they will finalise preparations for the show today.

“We expect the night to be a memorable one. The artists performing have promised fireworks and our preparations with Tereza are ongoing smoothly,” he said.
