Sheik Chabulika (L): Wills help to prevent disputes

The Islamic Information Bureau (IIB) has advised Muslims in the country to write wills before death strikes them.

Sheikh Muhammad Sillika said recently that a will can help in preventing family disputes when a member of the family has died.

He stressed the need for Muslims to write their wills without being forced.

Sillika also urged Muslims to ensure they involve witnesses when writing wills.

IIB national coordinator Sheikh Dinala Chabulika said the bureau will go nationwide to teach Muslims how they can develop a will following the Islamic procedure.

“There are a lot of people who don’t know how to write the will following Islamic procedure. As information bureau, we will go to every place to teach people how to write their will,” said Chabulika.
