The second edition of the Mwezi Wawala international arts and theatre festival bounces back this weekend from Friday to Sunday with pomp, excitement and lots of surprises as it brings only the cream de la cream of arts from all continents except Australia. From theatre, story-telling, mimes, the show promises a little something for all age groups.n
 
Spring Fest at Portuguese Club
 
Liquid Soundz Experience has organised an inter-varsity spring bash at Portuguese Club in Lilongwe on Sunday September 1. Performing at the bash are Blasto, Caly Bryt and Blak Jak while DJ Maya, Pete Roc, and DJ SI-FI will share the turn-tables. Charges are K500 (US$1) for students and K 1 000 (US$3) others.
 
Zanzi in school-leavers’ gig tonight
 
Zanzi Night Club has introduced school-leavers’ gig which will be held every month at the popular drinking joint in Lilongwe. Tonight, Maskal will perform live alongside the club’s DJs. Beers will be on promotion where customers who buy three will get one for free.
 
Carlsberg bash at Ozone
 
Ozone Refreshment Centre in collaboration with Carlsberg has organised a bash at Ozone Entertainment Centre in Machinjiri, Blantyre on Saturday 31 August. The bash has been organised to commemorate five years of operation since the opening of Ozone. The bash will start at 7pm till late and Calsberg Green will sell at K280.
